Program Description

This year-long program (September–May) invites high school students from Orange County to transform their convictions on equity, justice, and community into impactful action. HRAP cultivates human relations and social justice leadership, connecting participants with each other and with community organizations. Ambassadors become youth representatives of Groundswell through presentations, facilitation, and outreach.

Mission

HRAP creates a safe, inclusive space for social awareness, leadership development, and community engagement—empowering students to connect with diverse OC communities and contribute to a broader social justice movement.

Participation & Logistics

• Orientation: Online, Wednesday, September 24, 2025

• In-Person Meetings: Bi-weekly on Wednesdays, 6–8 pm, starting October 1, 2025

• Venue: Groundswell Office, 1801 E. Edinger Ave, Suite 115, Santa Ana, CA 92705

• Tentative Dates:
  9/24 (virtual orientation), 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 12/3, 12/17, 1/7, 1/21, 2/4, 2/18, 3/4, 3/18, 4/1, 4/15, 4/29, 5/6

• Note: Students must attend at least 75% of meetings (can miss up to 5) to graduate.

• Perk: Dinner provided at every in-person meeting.
